TEACHING AND MENTORING EXPERIENCE

▪ Provide operational support for the collection and compilation of program data for analysis and reports. ▪ Track and support participant communications for everyday and unique program activations, especially around registration, scheduling, logistics, and follow-up. This includes building forms, tracking  registrations, sending communications, and supporting survey collection. 

▪ Provide technical and creative support for weekly presentations which include creating and editing  PowerPoints and sharing the presentation during Zoom meetings.  

▪ Support volunteer recruitment and placement in coordination with education and industry team members and maintain a tracking document of volunteer needs, asks, and confirmations. ▪ Provide necessary training for new interns and supervise them. 

▪ Prepare young professionals for interviews by providing tips and support during one-on-one mock  interviews.

▪ Led weekly 60-minute online Vinyasa-based Yoga classes to students from all over the United States and  donated profits to nonprofit organizations.

▪ Led over 300 one-hour long Yoga classes with verbal cues and dialogue with the focus of promoting balance  of the body and mind for students.

▪ Demonstrated techniques and methods of Vinyasa Power Yoga and effectively grew the number ofstudents  within one year by 50%. 

▪ Taught dance classes to ages 3-13 in the styles of Ballet, Modern, Jazz, West African, and Afro Haitian. ▪ Choreographed and produced 11 pieces of work with students for the annual end of year concert for families  and parents.

▪ Devised Lesson plans and playlists while actively ensuring students were well behaved and engaged in class. ▪ Created six pieces of choreography for grades k-8th for the school’s first dance showcase. ▪ Demonstrated techniques and methods of dance with musical or rhythmic accompaniment. ▪ Taught students useful skills that were used outside of dance classes and they also learned how to interact  with one another in a disciplined manner in order to complete assigned creative projects.

 CCCADI’s Digital Evolution Artist Retention Program (DEAR), Dec 2021 – Jan 2021

▪ First cohort of the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute’s DEAR Program. The program provided training on social media and digital strategy, artist/project narrative development, and budgeting.  

AmeriCorps/Public Allies Fellowship, Sep 2017 – July 2018 

Cause Effective & JCCA, New York, NY 

▪ Drafted and produced templates, reports, emails and other materials that met client needs; providedlogistical  support for workshops, i.e. PowerPoints, workbook creation, and scheduling. 

▪ Ensured that more than 25 projects were delivered on time by managing-up and meeting restrictive  deadlines. 

▪ Tracked the life cycle of consultancies and managed the day-to-day project assistance to CauseEffective's  Senior Associates and Program Manager on a range of administrative and analytical projects. ▪ Led volunteer projects around underdeveloped communities through the fellowship experience. 

Events Co-Producer/Fundraising Intern

▪ Contacted and solicited to more than 1,000 companies and raised more than $20,000 for the annual Spring  2017 Fundraiser for the organization. 

▪ Created a database to organize the fundraising effort and ensured daily upkeep. 

Legislative/Corrections Intern

 Aug 2016 – June 2017 

New York State Assembly/Public Scholar Service program, New York, NY 

▪ Wrote extensive papers in correlation to the intern experience through Hunter College’s Public Scholar  Service Program. 

▪ Opened, dated, sorted, and read over 500 letters from inmates and their family members in New York State  Correctional Facilities. 

▪ Wrote more than 50 letters to the acting Commissioner of the NY State Dept. of Corrections and Community  Supervision on behalf of inmates and collected data on legislation in different and numerous states across the  U.S.
